Advocacy Based On Lived Experience

Advocacy Based On Lived Experience (ABLE) builds and fosters relationships of trust among Kentuckians with lived experience and their communities. ABLE does so through education, mobilization, and organization in order to promote healthy civic participation for the betterment of people and communities. ABLE works to unite and empower Kentuckians who have been impacted by the criminal legal system, and their families, to ensure that Kentucky’s democracy works for all.

It also builds community and power among directly impacted advocates, who lead the group in partnership with ally organizations.
